The idea of success at Pacyga? Full automation in the production process, continuous product range development, modern equipment and the highest quality and safety during the use of the final product. Pacyga is a leading manufacturer of children furniture, which focuses on innovative technological solutions to ensure the safety of children and the satisfaction of parents. It has about 15,000 sq. m of production buildings, where it employs around 300 people. It is a company that relies on proper production facilities: it has modern machines, machining centres, an extensive paint shop, modern drying facilities and as its own tool shop and internal laboratory. Smooth management of so many items is quite a challenge, especially when the production process forces the manufacturer to make frequent changeovers resulting from products diversified in details.
The search for a system was prompted by the desire to expand the offering and, thus, change and improve the production process. We were looking for a solution that would bring us closer to expanding our product range and, simultaneously, not distract us from delivering our orders on time. We decided to cooperate with eq system as it not only provides us with an appropriate system but it is also a consulting company that helps us to look at the production process differently, says Beata Wątroba, Implementation Manager.
eq system specialists took a look at the production process literally from the inside. They got to know its specifics, future plans, most important assumptions, advantages and bottlenecks. There could only be one choice for managing and improving the continuous development of production processes, Asprova APS. Why? Thanks to its flexibility and extensive development possibilities, it gives confidence that it will meet both current expectations and those that will occur in the future. What other values did Pacyga see when it decided on this system?
We chose Asprova because it allows companies to manage their operations in a better and more informed way. In addition, it stands out from other systems because of its ability to react quickly to threats resulting from delays in the supply of components and raw materials, its ability to identify bottlenecks and reduce the number of changeovers while maintaining on-time order fulfilment. A big surprise for us was also the fact that it is a “self-learning” system and allows us to perform multidimensional analyses of “what if?”, adds Beata Wątroba.
During the audit, eq system specialists made Pacyga representatives aware of the fact that production planning is a key, one of the most important elements influencing the efficiency and condition of the entire organisation. The changes which the system will “make” are primarily intended to help in the conscious arrangement of the production plan and timely delivery of orders to customers. The Asprova system will enable the nature of the furniture industry to be accurately reflected and incorporated into individual production processes. Once implemented, Pacyga employees will be able to define optimisation criteria themselves, as well as relationships between areas such as technology, tool availability, employee competence, resource parameters, task relationships, raw material parameters and maintenance. We can honestly say that we are looking forward to measuring these effects with hard data.
