Colourful future of JOANNA Cosmetic Laboratory

Joanna Cosmetic Laboratory has undergone a transformation – from responding to fires, to undertaking effective preventive actions. We had a significant share in it, creating a concept of improvements, and then adjusting and implementing appropriate IT systems that allow the theoretical assumptions of the concept to be put into practice.

Today Asprova APS constitutes the basis for taking strategic actions in our company. We find in it the answers to many questions, including where we can expect potential threats or delays. Thanks to this, we do not really allow them - we have undergone a transformation from responding to “fires” to responding “for the future”. Currently, we eliminate all existing restrictions on an ongoing basis - this enables us to refer to the actual and, above all, the up-to-date plan, not our assumptions. The Asprova APS system has fully met our expectations. We also feel that its functionality will suit us both now and in the future.

Expectations versus reality

  • Purpose

    Increasing planning dynamics and improving communication by bringing the planning and purchasing departments together. Introducing a more flexible response to changes in schedules and its acceleration. Optimization of the procurement process.

    Effect

    Reduction of the minimum stock levels of finished products thanks to the synchronization of production plans with purchases, and thus the possibility of an ongoing response to emerging material needs and correcting them on the basis of the current plan. Increased production flow, work efficiency and the flow of information through obtaining immediate access to data, and their easier analysis, due to the improved visibility of the connections between them. Improving communication by reducing the need for direct contact between departments, planning and purchasing, thanks to collecting and organizing data in one place.

    Introduction of material balancing and its optimization.

    Effect

    Automation of the material balancing process, gathering stock in one place, from raw materials to the finished product. Transfer of the knowledge and experience of planners and technologists into the system and centralization of the data storage location.
