The production of a chair or an armchair in a factory is based on several dozen operations performed by various industrial robots. The production lines are made up of devices from many manufacturers and control over these devices in each case is provided with a different protocol. We have gone through a digital transformation composed of the implementation of three key systems, i.e. Asprova APS, Opera MES, Qlik Sense and their integration with the solutions: WMS and ERP IFS. We wanted to completely eliminate manual planning using MS Excel, which was becoming less and less effective and was exposed to numerous errors. The implemented Asprova APS system has allowed us to eradicate our former problems. It has perfected the organisational culture of the entire company and stabilised the entire production process.

The implementation of another solution – Opery MES – allowed, among others for an accurate and quick response to unexpected events. This, in turn, resulted in increase of employee efficiency and the introduction of better use of production capacity on individual lines. Thanks to the system, we have a preview of production progress, among others: work efficiency of individual people, real time of changeovers, wear of tools for operations or material balancing.

Equally important for us was a comprehensive approach to the issue of improving processes related to production management – we wanted to improve the functioning of the entire company, its organisational culture, and not just individual departments. This effect was obtained with the help of BI class software – Qlik Sense. I recommend the Qlik Sense system to anyone who wants to analyse faster and above all more effectively, and the eq system to those who want to be sure that the Qlik Sense will enable them to do so because it will accurately reflect the business needs of their company.
